. Give it a watch here.It was not a pretty afternoon in Santa Clara. The Los Angeles Rams thoroughly pummeled the San Francisco 49ers in an ugly display. The 49ers looked like they might keep it competitive early in the game http://www.authenticssanfrancisco49ers.com/cheap-joe-staley-jersey , but once again, turnovers flipped this game. The Rams turned turnovers into points and it was a butt-whupping.There’s not much of anything positive to take from the game, but there was some positive 49ers-Rams engagement elsewhere in the Bay Area! It turns out, former Rams running back Steven Jackson was in town, and he hung out with former 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis. Willis posted a photo to Instagram showing him and Jackson at Crissy Field enjoying the afternoon.I don’t know if Jackson was just in town for the game or something else, but this is a fun photo. Willis is a favorite for all of us, and Jackson was one of my favorite non-49ers throughout his playing career. He busted his butt for some bad Rams teams, and I loved seeing him and Willis squaring off.It was an ugly day today http://www.authenticssanfrancisco49ers.com/cheap-marquise-goodwin-jersey , but this put a smile on my face.Elijah Lee not fined, LeGarrette Blount fined $10,026 for unnecessary roughness One of the lesser storylines coming out of the San Francisco 49ers win over the Detroit Lions was Lions running back LeGarrette Blount’s antics in the fourth quarter. On second down, quarterback Matthew Stafford scrambled out of the pocket and took off down the sideline. 49ers linebacker Elijah Lee met Stafford and knocked him out of bounds and onto his back. Assuming it was a late hit, Bount then clocked Lee from the sidelines resulting in a penalty. After it’s all said and done, Blount was fined $10,026 for the incident, Lee got nothing. There was some question on if Lee would get fined for the hit on Stafford Youth Brock Coyle Jersey , but the hit was legal. Stafford was inbounds and a runner, making him fair game for defenses to attack. The Blount hit, however was not, as it was after the play was blown dead. Despite what the announcing crew may have said to the contrary, the officials got this right. This isn’t the first time Blount has been involved in an issue. Many may remember the infamous “Duck and Cover” incident from his college days at Oregon where Blount decked an opposing player for Boise State after a 19-8 loss. The incident derailed Blount’s college career. In any case, this is one of those few situations where the NFL got it right.
